A little woodworking

Today is nice. I found a piece of half inch plywood and rebuilt the other drawer in the Motorhome.  It has been sunny and nice hear and i am getting quite the suntan. I did find an aa meeting here last night. There was 4 of us in attendance. Friday at 7pm will be another one. Should be a better turnout maybe.  The snow continues to melt in the surrounding hills which is nice as i am going to explore the Bitterroot mountains next.  I continue to loose weight as i continue on my healing journey. I have dropped over 20lbs now since i left March 19th.  After all this trip is a spiritual journey that will take me to new an undiscovered heights. I am excited to see where the future takes me as I blow with the wind which our old late friend Jim H would say.  I do miss him so.  I miss all of you and will certainly see you in just a few months. A year goes by so fast you know.
Your friend always,
Craig W.

A New Day

Climbing mountain overlooking Hot Spring Montana

Visiting my friend Tammi in Moses Lake area WA

Stopping at Lake Missoula

Buddy in his natural environment

Saw three white tail deer

What a beautiful day to be alive.I am having a lazy day so far. So far all of the places I would like to check out around the area are still snowed in. So here we sit Buddy and I relaxing, hiking, exploring indian ruins, soaking in the mineral springs. What a life.
I have met some amazing people here. Many are similar in many ways to folks that I grew up with in Alaska. Down to earth people that really do care for each others well being.  Quite a contrast to people that live in the cities eh. It is dog eat dog there. Even in the little town of Centralia wa where I have lived for quite a few years, I lived next door to a couple that I never even met. Is that sad or what.
I suppose one finds all types every where one goes eh. It is up to me to choose who I want to associate with. Well that gives me quite a bit of room you know,  lol.
Have I told you about the 36 year old Skate Boarder I met. She is recovering from a fractured heal. She has toured and competed with Tony Hawk and others.
I also met a 38 year old woman who competes in the 800 meter dash. She has qualified twice now in the Olympics. She had many good stories to share.
Then there is the 70 year old South Korean that appears to be in his 40s. He is so full of life and happiness. I got some very good tips from him as far as eating habits etc,,..
I am working on posting photos just as soon as possible.
I hope all of you are doing well and that your hearts are full of joy and happiness.
Love you all,
Craig and Buddy

Hot Spring Montana

Well how goes it out there in the Northwest?  I am chilling a few days in Hot Springs Montana. Weather isn't bad here. We seem to be sitting in a bowl protected by a huge mountain, Mt Baldy i think.  The clouds blow in all around here with some hail and snow but sitting in the hot springs with it blowing and snow falling sideways isn't so bad. Well write soon as you get a chance. Love you all,  Craig

One week to go

Does time fly by or what.  Next Wed is my target date. I have so much to do and never enough time. Story of my life. Hmm  maybe that will change a bit when I hit the road.  At least the so much to do part.  I just have a few things left in the house and it will be ready. The Motorhome is just about ready. I made some towel racks and nick nack shelves for the Motorhome since utilising space seems to be important. I am finding it very dificult to fit the house into the motorhome. I wonder why.
Well I had better go. Lots to do.  xoxoxoox

Almost ready to head out.

Just about ready to go. Discovered the running lights weren't working the other day. Been to sick to get right on it.  Have this cough that won't go away. See the doc this morning.  The house is just about done.  Just have the bare necessities to live on until i leave.
Took motorhome for a trial run to Ocean shores last weekend. Got 15 miles /Gallon which was a pleasant surprise.  Batteries went dead so I had them replaced when I got back.
Had a Bonn Voyage party the other day which was well attended.  Oh don't want to forget to mention the 500 calorie diet I will be on for a month and a half.  That will be interesting.

Froze my but off fishing

Well this morning was a bit chilly as buddy and I went off to the river to catch the elusive Stealhead. I had one on withing twenty minutes or so but it got off. Mean while the rain mixed with snow and wind increased which proceeded to turn both me and the dog into ice cubes. Buddy is such a trooper though. He hardly threw a fit at all even as he was shivering so bad that he could hardly walk.
There were about forty boats of all sizes with frozen fisherman in them going up and down the river. What a zoo. I didn't see one fish caught the two hours or so I was there.
So buddy and I went home and I immediately jumped in the hotub and proceeded to thaw out. Aah life is good.
Then I worked on the inside of the Motorhome the rest of the day, getting it ready for my exciting trip.

Just Getting Started

I am so excited. I am finally in the final stages to travel across the US.  I purchased a 27' Motor Home totally self contained and am down to making a list of items I need for this trip.
So bare with me as I get ready for this incredible journey. There are so many places I haven't been just in the US.  I was raised in Alaska on a Five acre Homestead site with a stream full of salmon most of the year and the ocean about five miles away. I was reminded last night at my homegroup meeting that I must have that Gypsy thing going on in me because I have always been an explorer.  I love to check out new places I have never been.  So after growing up just north of Homer AK and attending Highschool in the big city of Anchorage I joined the service right at the end of the Vietnam War.  After that I moved to South west Washington and for the most part been in that area ever since.  At this point in my life I really feel the need to go, checkout new places, new smells, meet new people.  I feel I am running short of time on this earth so here goes.
Oh by the way Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and all that ok. I hope everyone recieved a gift and have had a great time.  Personally I could care less for the most part, but I am determined to make the best of it. I really am grateful and have no major complaints.
